Sometimes called unifocals, these are standard glasses which correct either nearsightedness or farsightedness.
At the age of presbyopia, your eyes need different corrections for near sight and far sight. Progressives provide near and far sight on the same glasses.
Office lenses are not available with this frame.
These lenses do not correct any optical issues and are purely cosmetic.
Sphere: For myopia and hypermetropia. This value is positive or negative and never in between brackets. If there is no value or zero or "plan" (PL), leave the space blank.
Cylinder: For astigmatism. This value is positive (+) or negative (-), sometimes in between brackets. If there is no value in between brackets on your prescription, or a cylinder value of zero, leave the zero in this space.
For astigmatism. This value is always expressed in degrees (°). If there is no value, please leave the zero in this space.
Addition (ADD): Presbyopic (progressive lenses): This value is always positive (+) indicated by "add" or "addition". If you do NOT see "add" or "addition" on your prescription or you only have ONE of the following values: ("near vision" (N.V.) or "distance vision" (D.V.), you do not need progressive glasses but single vision glasses.
